07/06/2001 Entry: "Shell Accounts overseas"

Hey,
Don't you just LOVE shell accounts you own, which reside on servers overseas? You may have noticed (as though people actually read the site) that the date and time display of the log entries before this one were about 12 hours in the future. This is the reason...

... Where I am located right now is Winnipeg, Manitoba CANADA. I am in Central Standard Time, -6 from Greenwich.
My shell account (and web hosting) is somewhere in germany. The current time (of this posting) in germany where the account resides is 11:55 PM, on Friday, July 6th. The timezone display is CEST -- I'm not very caught up with overseas timezones.
In any case, I fixed the GreyMatter configuration so that the time & date display show MY time, in Winnipeg. That means that the first three posts on my webLog are a bit... off... just pretend they're from Thursday, 5th July, and +12 hours from the time posted.
Man... this gets complicate... I'm also discusted that I have nothing better to write...
