10/19/2001 Entry: "Blue Rodeo"

Yesterday, I went with Val to see the Blue Rodeo Concert at the Walker theatre. My mom is so jealous. The show was VERY good. I had loved Blue Rodeo a bit before, through my mother and through Val, but seeing them LIVE was a good experience. Val and I also had a TERRIFIC day that day, and all day today too!

Val introduced me to the number-one man in her life, her 10 year old godson. He's a terrific, intelligent kid, and it really felt... good to be with him. He's got a way of subtle magnetism, a innocent boyish charm. A fighter, that kid is, as he is diagnosed with PAN as well as another auto-immune defficiency. We spent much of the day together, brought him home to his parents and Val and I visited her grandparents. Val are growing stronger, after overcoming a bit of a struggle earlier in the week. I forget if I wrote about it...
