11/14/2001 Entry: "Spiritually Drained"

Hrm..
In not-so-little words, I've learned that walking in Truth with God is not a relationship which you just KNOW things have to be this way or that way, but knowing that they are like that, because God loves you, and you should love God. It is the loving relationship that brings you closer to God, and I have learend that I was in err. I'm going to start working with a devotional that Valerie lent me -- I'm going tobe excited about it. And, news about Val...

... her accessment did not go as planned, but one cannot say that things went bad. Basically, the staff at Guelph have concluded that Val's ED has formed from a post-traumatic incident, and not just a simple ED. So, Val is on a four week program, which would have her then moving on to the Trauma Ward. The Manitoba Government has to authorize that they will pay for her stay at the Trauma ward, before she can stay there. This changeover from ED to Trauma takes place December 11th. If the Government is slow to respond, Val will be coming home, and then returning at a later date. If the Government does not respond, or denies the request, Val will be staying home. Else, things will run smoothly from ED to Trauma.
I'm happy that Val will be returning for Christmas, and I am confident that Homewood Health Center will make best the four weeks Val has (and they will). Her eating disorder will still be taken care of, and be a thing of the past. That's the important part -- that's why she is in Guelph.
