... There was no power in Winnipeg? What if there was no power in Canada? Things would have to change, but things would be really cool! (read more)

The power went out yesterday on my block. Well... a bit futher than my block. It seemed there was no power, for as far as my eye can see. It was really neat -- I was really excited. It would be great to go back to times when there was no electricity, and we'd all have to use candles, and fire, and such. The winter seemed to be more than just winter, and the sky seemed to be more than just the sky... it was a neat feeling.
I want to do something BIG and DIFFERENT with my life. I pray that my path will be that of a missionary -- I really want to travel, to spread the good word, to live a rough time, and be flogged for my faith. Though, I may not be strong enough -- or at least I think I wouldn't be. Things are too easy for me, and that is why I am a little stuck.

I don't think you'd be able to handle life as it was in the settler days, with no electricity and such.... emotionally you would be okay for a while until you realized the physical everyday necessities.
