12/27/2003 Entry: "Digital Camera Time!"
So I didn't get the digital camera I requested for a gift during christmas, but that's okay; I realized that the price probably matched the features.
I did get the money to purchase a camera, and I'm stuck between three choices:
- HP PhotoSmart 635 is a nice camera, good features, but poor battery life.
- Sony CyberShot DSC-P32 is a great camera, 3.2mega-pixels, great all-round, but I'd have to make a hasty-decision: it's on boxing-day sale, it's on the Future Shop website, but Futureshop stores rarely have what they advertise on the website. It might be tough to get.
- Olympus D-390 is a GREAT camera for it's class, very affordable, but is it underpowered for what I want/need? Also, the review is for the D-380; I'd have to try out the D-390 in-store to make sure the features are identical or better.
I'm also interested in anything else I can shop around for... above choices are tough to seperate.
This is to replace the D-Link give-away VGA digital camera with no LCD viewfinder and no menu interface. It has given me GREAT shots, but I think I want a little more power.
I just might get the Olympus camera.
Or I might even SAVE money and not get a camera at all... but I want to capture photos with my mac!!!
