03/01/2004 Entry: "Two things God Taught Me"

Over the past weekend, I've learned a few things from God.

I was doing my taxes; turns out I will not receive the huge return I was expecting. Actually, it will be quite little in comparison to previous years. I was counting on a big return to clear up some debt and set a self-running bill-payment system used by a friend of mine. Nope, won't work.
God taught me to rely on HIM and His work of new creation in me, and not on what the world promised to give me.

I am also without a lot of cash, and March came up really quickly. I found myself without any money, and some expenses I need to take care of (Bus fare, and a few other things.) I had NO idea where I would find money; I always think my parents are struggling themselves, and couldn't help me out.

But I called my mom, she actually has extra cash and would be happy to help me out, and besides, what are mom's for?

God taught me to believe in LOVE, family, and to ignore Satan's tricks.
