03/05/2004 Entry: "The Old School"
I was on my way to collect money for the David Bowie ticket from Chrystal when plans change (Need ticket before money instead you see.) so I stopped by my old school, Cecil Rhodes. Wow has the place ever changed, yet oddly the same. The staff is mostly new, but Mr. Duncan the principal is still the same, Mrs. Guzzi my beloved french teacher still works there, and I was instantly recognized by an old Favorite teacher of mine, Mr. Verdnick. We had a good talk.
Its nice to be recognized.
We talked about where in life I was, where my sister was, and where his hair went. We chatted about changes, choices, chances found and chances lost.
I attribute much of my joy of writing and literal arts to him. My vocabulary is Verdnick-inspired.
I prayed with some Mormons sharing their word in the neighbourhood, that lives would be won and the full Gospel would be shared.
My house at 1493 Bannatyne Ave West is still standing and it mystifies me still who lives there.
