04/29/2004 Entry: "OS X 10.3 Upgrade"

So I finally decided to take the plunge, and upgrade to OS X 10.3. Was it worth the money?

Well... it's pretty okay, but I like the look of 10.2 better.

No more pretty lickable Aqua-like effects. It's more professional looking, than 10.2. It still blows Windows XP away.

The Finder in 10.3 is ugly, and not the same as in 10.2. I suppose that's progress, and I'll get used to it.

I don't have a high-speed connection just now, so I'm not sure how many upgrades I should get; but it might be a good thing to have the advantage of upgrading to the latest iLife applications.

The upgrade went well; i'm not sure why people say not to do the upgrade, and instead install from scratch. All my apps, and documents, and permissions, work okay.
