09/14/2004 Entry: "Creative Technical Ministry"

So, all of a sudden, i'm the creative technical ministry leader at the church. Which means i'm putting together the bulletins, other special needs (like the VBS video, soon will be Camp banquet video, other technical needs), and just lately, the church website as well, along with teh powerpoint.

Which means I've learned a few things about leadership in the church that you just can't read about, you have to experience:
1. Start with Prayer.
2. Build a team.

I need to get a team going.

When asking Moses to work together with me, on getting a tight tie-in with the bulletin and the website, he had stated that "he was persuing other opportunities for ministry." and gave the site project to me. He was at the leader development (New Hope Church School of Leadership) retreat as well, and i'm certain he means whatever it is that his leadership development is going toward.

So I've got the website, like I had originally wanted, without making a stink. Good thing.

Putting together bulletin, i noticed that one person can't know everything... so i've got to get plugged in, connected, and know what is going on, and what it's about, in order to put into the bulletin for the next week.

In unrelated news: dunno what Mel is thinking, about the letter and birthday card, but Grace is finding out for me. Crystal doesn't seem too interested as she was, and ... darn I miss her.. But 1. She is still staying single, i have to remember that, 2. For just being friends, she's aweful distant. 14 days since seeing her (well, cept for that one time, i'll write tomorrow about it.) and 3. Is she really the right one for me? She's wonderful in every way, but is she interested in my kind of person?
