07/28/2004 Entry: "The Irish Pub"
The night started with a red wine at the Irish Pub, and ended in friends and failures...
I went for a walk around 12:00, went to the local Irish Pub, The Shamrock. Ordered white wine to un-christian-like drown my sorrows over another failed no-show date with Crystal. No white wine, so I dine on the red wine. I cannot stand room-temperature wine.
The server was pretty and great, and I found out a name of a great Jazz performer, Michael Bublé. Anthony came to tell me the name of it (i got the album name from CDDB.com; I'll be giving Crystal a gift of that album soon).
He invited me to come wine with him and another friend and a girl he's 'seeing.' We have a great time, then they find out that a DVD player was stolen. First accusations to the staff, then a more reasonable accusation of a particular guy who came in, with a bag, and was left unattended for a short period of time. Anthony says he's gonna kill him next time he sees him. Woah-man.
My wine is done, but I'm given another, and given smokes (ACK! I quit... I hope tomorrow I'm still not gonna smoke...) and tensions build and then they are calm, and the night goes on.
Might work there part time... not too sure about that now, but it would be nice, if not against my Christian ethics. eesh, this is tough to figure out.
The Lord had mercy on me again, and kept me sober even after 4 wines. Me and Anthony are closer, me and the waitress are interested, and I earned some friends.
B u t... I'm still not sure what to think of it all...
